Working in film has taught me invaluable lessons about how to write dialogue for any medium and about the way to write that compliments, rather than competes with, visuals and sound. This has stood me in good stead for writing for both games and graphic novels. Another thing film teaches you is to be (relatively) humble about your ideas. It’s really important, when working with other people, that you’re able to take their suggestions (and, yes, even criticisms) on board. It always improves the product, and that’s what matters most.

Below, you will find the trailer for a film, currently in Post-production, entitled ‘Verite’, written and directed by me and my brother Alix, and made for around than $10,000. It was co-produced by Luke Toniolo, Alun Jackson, Michael Hales and Alix Jackson, and stars Luke Toniolo as Joseph, Nick Acevski as David, Tsungirai Wachenuka as Lydia, Tara Vagg as Cathy, and Alix Jackson as Robert. Check out the trailer here.

After some pandemic-related delays in post-production, we look forward to releasing the film on the festival circuit in 2023. You can follow the movie’s progress and release schedule by following @veritemovie on Instagram.
